Happy Mother’s Day, dear friends,
I hope each of you moms is encouraged and blessed. I hope you find peace and joy in the calling of mothering, and that this day finds you filled with motherly satisfaction. I truly do!
I admit, I’m not totally “there” today.
Sometimes I feel like a failure as a mother. Do you? And sometimes Mother’s Day reminds me of how broken I am. Then, I must run to my savior who was broken for broken me, knowing he smooths over my failures and uses them for his glory. Isn’t that amazing? Even in my weakness, Jesus looks on me and says, “Well, done, my good and faithful servant.” And he says that to you too. Yes, even when we fail. Even when regrets fill our years and tears fall like a spring brook.
He smiles and doesn’t frown. He covers our cracks with his healing love and grace. What an incredible comfort. The only hope.
So, moms–broken or not–to honor your great and honorable and sometimes painful work, I’m giving away five of my books this week on Goodreads. It falls far short of the honor you deserve, but I pray it will be a small blessing to you. (Click here or the image below to enter giveaway.)
Remember, he loves you like there’s no tomorrow.
Your fellow broken mom,
